LOVING IT IN HA LONG BAY

This is for all the people who said we shouldn't go to Ha Long Bay: you were wrong. We are at Cat Ba Island and spent just an unforgettable day on the water all yesterday. It was one of the best days ever in fact. We had a great group of international backpackers on the boat, amazing scenery, floating villages, great Vietnamese lunch, kayaking, swimming on secluded beaches and lots and lots of funny dives off the boat into the warm sea water.

We saw flying fish! Lili spotted them first - it was like a group of silver dragonflies suddenly coming out from the depths and then gracefully diving back in again. We saw little zebrafish when swimming, and a huge ray somersaulted out of the water right in front of the boat when we were on the way in.

Wifi is patchy here so I will likely need to post more images later.

But we are loving it.

It rained when we left Hanoi - so this was so perfect.

Another beautiful spot. If you look closely you may be able to see two rock climbers as well.
