NAN THONG BEEEEEAAACCHH!

Here we are - in Thailand, which was Dante's choice of country for our trip (we all got to choose one country and we planned the trip from there).  Dante visited Thailand in 1998 and in 2000, and wanted to go back to a beach he remembered from the previous trips. In particular, he recalled a huge rock on the beach - and we determined the beach was called Nan Thong Beach.

The tsunami of 2004 completely and utterly devastated Khao Lak (more about that later), and I suggested even big rocks on the beach might not be there anymore. So while still in Canada we looked on google earth and found the beach - and it looked like there still was a huge boulder! So we decided to go check it out and here we are.

...and of course someone had to climb on it.

And someone else too!

It's lovely here.
